Datasets

This section serves as an introduction to my datasets.  My three raw datasets are as follows:

• An Excel file containing extensive information on 2679 clergy incarcerated at Dachau Concentration Camp.  A description can be found here.
• The two-volume book entitled ­Priester unter Hitlers Terror:  Eine Biographische und Statistische Erhebung by Ulrich von Hehl, Christoph Kösters, Petra Stenz-Maur, and Elisabeth Zimmermann.  This book contains short biographies of German priests, some of whom appear in the Excel file.  A description can be found here.
• Yad Vashem's Central Database of Shoah Victims' Names, an online names database of approximately 4.5 million victims of the Holocaust.  A description can be found here.

In the pages of this section, I introduce these datasets in detail and provide descriptions of how I repurposed these raw datasets into their final forms, as well as how I have linked these datasets.
